Finance and Banking
Head: Prof. Moshe (Shiki) Levi
"We offer a program that is intellectually rigorous and internationally acclaimed,” notes Zvi Wiener, "a natural outcome of our faculty members' publication rate in the field's top-tier scientific and practitioner journals and recognized in recent major grants from giants like Teva or the EU.” Students also reap benefit from faculty members' partnerships with the PRMIA Institute, with leading universities around the world, and with bodies such as the Milken Institute and Glenn Yago.
Marketing
Research from scholars in the Marketing specialization scholars is so highly regarded, explains Jacob Goldenberg, "that their papers feature in more top journals than many of Europe's top schools and out-publish any business school in Israel.” Four out of the specialization's five faculty members hold appointments as visiting professors at leading schools of business abroad. "We take pride that our Ph.D. graduates earn acceptance to top schools in the United States.”
Organizational Behavior and Human Resources Management

"Issues such as how an industry constructs its identity, or predicting how different people and characteristics are apt to fit within a group, are key to the study of OB and HR,” says Tamar Zilber , adding, "Our team produces research in this field which is the most cutting edge in Israel.” The many facets that augment understanding of how behavior influences business and organizations on a global scale, Prof. Avi Kluger explains, "translates into direct impact on the bottom line.”
Strategy and Managerial Entrepreneurship
Head: Dr. Shai Harel
A relatively recent addition to the MBA program, this specialization borrows from all related disciplines to offer senior management tools enabling a firm to outperform its competitors. "Students utilize these tools to create sustainable competitive advantages” explains Niron Hashai. "They receive training regarding preparation for international expansion, enacting group simulations and incorporating real issues into writing business plans so that firms can renew and innovate.
Internet Studies (Data Science)
Head: Prof. Lev Muchnik
Multi-disciplinary and collaborative, Internet Studies originated at the Hebrew University's School of Business Administration as a distinct specialization."Whereas the more common Information Studies format focuses on building computer information systems and their analysis,” explains Ronen Feldman, "our students research the connections between the Internet, finance and statistics, gaining expertise in data-mining, text-mining, social networks, business applications of game theory, electronic commerce and product development.”
Operations Research and Management
Head: Prof. Nicole Adler
This concentration equips students with comprehensive understanding and the skills which are the foundations of product development and manufacturing operations. "Students gain expertise in the theory and practical skills to secure their firm's competitive position within uncertain and changing environments,” Gur Mosheiov notes. Case studies, simulations and class experiments prepare students with an integrated and solid base, applying information technology, technology and operations strategy, as well as the creation and delivery of services.
Big Data Analytics

Big data analytics has been defined by the Harvard Business Review as one of the hottest fields of the coming decade. The huge amount of information and data created every day across the web and across all organizations should enable managers at all levels to improve their decision making processes. . The expertise taught in this specialization draw from two fields: Operations Research and Data Analytics. After studying core courses in depth, the students will take-on a real world problem and combine the two fields in order to provide insight on a specific business problem in subjects as perse as the impact of autonomous cars on the supply chain (for General Motors), utilizing alternative information to improve financial forecasting (for Zirra) and estimating the number of automatic license plate reading cameras required in a city (for RoadMetric).
Bio-Medical Management

The program of Master's Degree in Business Administration of Bio-Medical Management (BioMed-MBA) at the Hebrew University aims to train professionals of the Bio-Medical industry to face the unique and challenging world of concepts of this industry. It is the only university program in Business Administration for Bio-Medical Management in Israel, and it resembles similar programs that exist in leading universities in the world (such as Berkeley, Johns Hopkins and others).

Managers in such purchasing departments make decisions with significant impact on the organization, decisions that take numerous factors into account and that require handling a massive amount of data. The new MBA program in Procurement Management aims to give a methodological and analytical basis for managers in large organizations in order to enable them to improve the purchasing processes of their organizations in the supply chain.
